At the Official Opening of the Inovia Waterloo Office

Friends,

We hope you had a great summer and enjoyed some well deserved rest in anticipation of a busy fall! On our end, the team was busy reviewing 2-year plans of our core portfolio companies and we focused on closing 4 internal financing rounds to strengthen some companies’ balance sheets.

In addition, our team actively engaged with the ecosystem across Canada, participating in the Atlantic Venture Forum in Halifax to speaking at the Raj Manek Banquet in Saskatoon to attending Hack-the-North, StartupFest, and cruising the St. Lawrence alongside RBCx and Fasken. It was amazing to connect in-person again with entrepreneurs from coast to coast.

We were also very honoured to have recently hosted a gathering of the vibrant Kitchener-Waterloo tech community celebrating the opening of our office in the region.

Over the summer, we welcomed five new Inovians to complement our team of company builders: Prem Kalevar, Vice-President, Discovery Program; Kate Whelan, Manager, Platform-Talent; Etienne Gauthier, Investment Associate; Anna Gostevcic, Investment Analyst; and Chantel Paul, Executive Assistant.

And to top it off, we are very proud of Chris Arsenault, winner of the Player of Year Award at the Réseau Capital’s Recognition Event.

We remind candidates looking for their next role in tech that we have aggregated the many open positions in our portfolio companies into one central job board. Please access it from our website and have a look at the many excellent in-person and remote roles in Canada and worldwide.

We wish you a very productive year-end!

— The Inovia Team
