Chief Talent Officer Krista Skalde and Chief Technology Officer Steven Woods

Inovia is proud to announce that Krista Skalde has recently joined our team as Partner and Chief Talent Officer, and Steven Woods will join our team as Partner and Chief Technology Officer on August 3, 2021.

The addition of these exceptional talents reinforces Inovia’s mission to assist founders in building sustainable and competitive global companies. It complements our team of operators who are providing founders with a hands-on, operator-led approach, and access to a worldwide network of resources.

Krista Skalde

Krista joins from ADIA (Abu Dhabi Investment Authority), a leading, global sovereign wealth fund, where she managed talent for the fund’s venture capital, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund businesses. Before joining ADIA, she lived in Paris, working for Oliver Wyman’s Delta Organization and Leadership practice.

Her career has spanned various human resource and talent areas, including leadership development, organizational design and transformation, change management, and executive coaching. She has contributed to international projects, working with teams from North America, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, and the USA.

In her role, Krista will provide Inovia’s portfolio companies with the resources and guidance to help founders navigate the recruitment and development of key talent. She will also deliver tailored coaching for core executive teams on organizational effectiveness, talent management, and culture.

Steven Woods

Prior to joining Google, Steven built several companies in software services and infrastructure, including Quack.com — the world’s first interactive voice assistant, which American/Online Time Warner acquired in 2000.

Since 2008, Steven has applied his entrepreneurial talents to Google’s engineering and team-building efforts, growing the Google Canada technical team from 20 to over 1,300.

In his role, Steven will bring his years of entrepreneurial and engineering experience, and his extensive network, to mentor our portfolio companies. He will also have an important role in evaluating deal flow from a technology and talent perspective.

Join us as we welcome Steve & Krista in their new roles. We look forward to working with them!
