Close to a year ago (June 11th, 2017 to be exact), Microsoft and Mojang announced the four major server networks chosen to become official Partnered Servers to deliver the best possible multiplayer experience for Minecraft Bedrock Edition players. Now, after roughly six months since leaving beta, this journey has been the biggest challenge we’ve faced as a team — yet it’s also been more fun and exciting than anything else we’ve ever done!

We want to briefly revisit some of the most memorable moments that’s come out of these six months with our community, starting with InPvP’s initial launch as an official Minecraft Partner, as well as talk about what’s next for us.

Launch! — September 20th, 2017

InPvP, along with Mineplex and Lifeboat, went live in the Minecraft Bedrock Edition Server list. The 1.2 Update was the beginning of a new exciting journey with Microsoft, Mojang, and Minecraft players on Xbox One, mobile, and Windows 10. We also released the InPvP “Better Together” Update Trailer.

Minecon Earth — November 18th, 2017

In November, our team was incredibly grateful to be invited to the Minecon Earth viewing party in London. What made this visit special for us was how many InPvP Cadets we were able to meet in real life! It was also really rewarding to showcase Space Race to our fans prior to its public beta test and official release. We had a great time!

Discord — December 29th, 2017

Our long-awaited Discord server was opened up to the public. To this day it remains an awesome place for community discussions regarding InPvP and Minecraft. Discord also makes for a great alternative for getting in contact with our staff. Join our Discord today!

Space Race — January 25th, 2018

After holding a public beta just a couple days prior, Space Race was launched! This was one of the most exciting times for our team as it was different from any other mini-game on InPvP. Furthermore, we were able to create leaderboards for both modes of this game (Normal and Pro), which led to some intense competition between various players from around the community. Everyone that makes it in the top 10 scores for each week gets a special title on their name (and soon maybe some special rewards).

YouTube Rank — January 29th, 2018

Our team reintroduced the YouTube rank to give more exposure to some of the awesome creators who make videos while playing on InPvP.

MIXER Takeover — March 16th-24th, 2018

The [MIXER] Rank was launched and we worked with many great Mixer streamers to play InPvP and give away Captain Ranks to their fans.

Tower Wars — March 19th, 2018

The official release of Tower Wars also came only a few days after a public beta for the mini-game was held. Like Space Race, this was another one of our team’s personal favorites due to the uniqueness of it. This was something we had never created before, which made the challenge of doing so even more fun and interesting. This game tests a range of players’ abilities, including building, combat, strategy, and includes drop in/drop out gameplay so you almost never have to wait for a new game to begin.

What’s next?

All of this is just a partial list of all of the exciting things we’ve done in the last six months as we’ve continued to learn and grow as a server. In between launches, we built a lot of systems behind the scenes, as well as squashed pesky bugs. We couldn’t have done it without all of you and the wonderful, very patient, individuals on the Minecraft team. So, what’s next? April 14th and 15th we’ll be at Minefaire LA. We also have a new Hub, a new Rank, and a highly requested Game Mode on the way — and plenty of secret stuff cooking in the InPvP kitchen. We can’t wait to share it all with you in the coming weeks and months.

Thank you ❤
