Meet Our New Partnership Manager
Please join us in welcoming our new Partnership Manager, Tapi Roll. Tapi will join Dogu on 1 May in our Oslo office.
Dogu made me curious early on, being a smaller Norwegian company, founded by students. During the course of my introduction, they really got my attention. I was met with skilled, passionate, and resourceful people. Much of Dogu´s values and mindset are also perfectly aligned with my own.
Oslo, Norway — Tapi is a fun, active, friendly guy who’s great at building relationships and bringing people together. He’s driven by passion and vision… which makes him a perfect match for the Dogu team.
Dave: What is your work education/work background?
My background is in marketing management, with emphasis on project management. I have been in the IT industry since 2007, and have lived and worked in Amsterdam as a part of my journey.
I had a slight deviation from IT for a couple of years, building up a snowboard/skateboard academy for kids. It was a lot of fun to explore my passions, help people and grow something new and unique.
Dave: What are some of your hobbies?
I always like being outdoors; mountain hiking, and “collecting” new summits. Wintertime: skiing and snowboarding. Summertime: Obstacle course racing/running, squash, mountain biking and other adventures.
Dave: Why did you choose to work for Dogu?
I wanted to work for a company and with colleagues truly passionate about what they do. Dogu made me curious early on, being a smaller Norwegian company, founded by students. During the course of my introduction, they really got my attention. I was met with skilled, passionate, and resourceful people. Much of Dogu´s values and mindset are also perfectly aligned with my own. It doesn´t hurt either that they seem to be a real nice and fun gang!
Dave: What are your expectations of working here?
Well, as the position is “new” at Dogu, I expect to hit the ground running. I want to safeguard the work that has already been done and contribute to further development.
There’s a lot of challenging and fun work ahead and I’m ready for it! :)
I am eager to start interacting with skilled colleagues who bring a lot of creativity, boldness, and passion. I’m excited to work with a team that has a lot of “balls”, dares to think outside the box, and who are willing to be brave.
Dave: What unique qualities or skills do you bring to the table?
I’m very good at juggling several simultaneous processes without losing sight of the main goals, as well as managing our partners by diplomatically putting myself in their shoes, aligning our goals with theirs. Of course, I’m also great at contributing to the fun and hardworking atmosphere in the workplace.
Dave: Have you ever worked for a startup? Are you excited about it?
No, I’ve never worked with a startup in this capacity. I worked at Intility for 4 years as a Product Manager & Procurement Advisor and prior to that I worked at Atea and at Cisco Systems… so, all big companies. I’m really exited to work in this environment with this team and see what we all can do together.
Dave: Describe your personality?
I am outgoing, active, social, and bring a lot of energy. I love to be around people and I’m a natural relationship builder. I’m inquisitive by nature, always striving to learn new things. Overall, I’m a really happy guy and a bright, outgoing personality. However, admittedly, I’m also a sore loser.
Dave: What’s your favorite quote?
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
