Aircall, the cloud-based integrated voice platform, just closed a $65M Series C today. This milestone arrives after a year of exceptional growth for Aircall and further confirms its position as a leader on the market.

Reaching New Heights

It all started in our old office at Rue du Sentier in 2014. PhoneX as we called it at the time quickly became Aircall with the arrival of a kick-ass founding team: Oli, John, PB and Xav. It wasn’t always easy at the start, being a pioneer and reinventing phone calls for businesses means hard work and at times failures. But the team always persevered and rose up to each and every challenge they faced.

Soon after leaving eFounders, they got accepted to 500 Startups in San Francisco joining its 2015 Batch. That year was a revelation for Aircall. They quickly gained huge momentum and finally found their way in the market. Millions of calls later, it’s clear today that Aircall is the only company that has been able to innovate and bring more simplicity to the outdated world of telephony.

Over the past few years, Aircall has continued its unrelenting growth. It expanded internationally and raised multiple rounds, which now brings the company’s total funding to $100 million. Today’s Series C round is led by DTCP & Adam Street Partners, with the participation of historic investors, aside from us: Balderton Capital, Draper Esprit and NextWorld Capital.

Leveraging the Power of the Voice

Aircall helps thousands of businesses across the world have better conversations. Central to the technology is its ability to provide caller insights and integrate with your daily used business software tools. Whether that’s the CRM for sales teams, ATS for HR teams or the Helpdesk for customer service teams. Aircall enables each business function to leverage the power of the voice with cutting-edge intelligent insights.

The explosion of remote work as a result of Covid-19 has uncovered the urgent need for a flexible, truly integrated and seamless voice ecosystem for businesses. Aircall has played a crucial role in helping teams in their transition to remote work. With a set-up that’s done in seconds and collaboration at its core, the company is uniquely positioned to continue helping teams better work together from a distance.

The startup’s mission to connect teams and their customers and prospects seamlessly through its platform has never been so essential.

What’s next for Aircall

Aircall will use those funds to provide a richer voice app ecosystem for their customers, while also accelerating their global expansion. The funding round comes at a time where the market is most promising for Aircall, the accelerated digitalization of businesses brings huge development opportunities for the company. We’re filled with pride and excitement when we see how far the team has gone since its inception at eFounders 6 years ago! Congrats to all, you make us proud! We’ll be cheering.
