3 Things…

I Wish I Knew about the Library as a First Year Student (written by 4th year student library worker Jack)

Important Things:

● Librarians are always accessible to answer questions over an IM (here)

● The Ott Writing Center can give you great feedback on your papers (here’s their website)

● At the Digital Scholarship Lab, you can check-out different types of technology (here’s the DSL’s website)

Amazing Things:

The Raynor-Memorial Libraries’ Bridge

● There are a lot of great study spaces available throughout the library (i.e. Memorial Library Reading Room, find out how to get there by watching this 50-second video)

● All library staff members are willing and eager to help you (Ask Us!)

● For the Holidays, Raynor library is fully decorated with Christmas trees and wreaths

Most Students Don’t Know:

● If the library does not have the specific materials you need, you can request them through Interlibrary Loan (Ask Us if you need help setting up an account!)

● Consultations can be scheduled with librarians if you would like help with a research paper/project (schedule one here!)
