Job Title: Analyst
Location: Greater Boston Area
We’re seeking to hire an Analyst to perform finance and operations functions to support the firm’s investment and reporting activity. Ideally, this person has 1–3 years of professional experience, is highly analytical, and is passionate about working with the world’s next generation of entrepreneurs. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform due-diligence on potential investments. This will consist of doing market research, talking to customers or industry experts, and modeling performance data, among other ad hoc analyses.
· Assist in reporting our progress to our investors, which consists of writing quarterly reports, analyzing the critical financial / operational data of our portfolio companies, and maintaining detailed valuation models.
· Manage collection of financial data and valuation inputs as part of the FASB 820 valuation and annual audit process.
· Act as a resource to PJC’s senior investment team by writing investment analysis memorandums, constructing cap table models, driving select projects for PJC’s portfolio companies, and maintaining PJC’s investment database.
Required Skills and Experience:
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with the ability to prepare financial and accounting models.
· Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and accurately complete projects within tight time frames.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
· 0- 3 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, valuation services, accounting, or finance.
