Maybe you saw this post, where we announced our new website explained the process of designing, building, and launching it in six weeks.

In celebration of our new online hub, we wanted to have some fun and do a little contest. We’re giving away TWO year-long subscriptions to Plato (worth $2,988 each!). ENTER HERE.

Share with your engineering + product friends to earn more entries!

We also wanted to share a bit more of our website visuals + highlight the detailed work of our design studio, Pelostudio + our Webflow Dev, Joe Finsweet.

Knowing that more and more of us are all heading to our phones first — even in the business world — it was imperative to have a site as easy to navigate on mobile as it was on a desktop. You’d be surprised at how many businesses are still behind on mobile responsiveness. There’s no excuse.

It’s all about the details…

We wanted to ensure our visitors had a delightful experience — regardless of whether they’re on mobile or desktop. Small animations in our mobile menu were one way to stand out from the boring ‘hamburger menu.’

When it came to the pricing page, again we looked at ease of use for our visitors. The toggle to switch between monthly and yearly pricing, was a small detail, but one that makes it easy for potential clients to compare quickly. We also wanted to be able to showcase our current clients + let them share how we’re providing value to their engineering and product leaders.

With our team page, we wanted to show a bit of our personality — no corporate stuffiness here. We gathered some fun facts, and Webflow makes it incredibly easy to update or switch these out in an instant, as the team grows. I also shot all our team headshots on iPhoneXS during a recent team offsite in Colorado, and was incredibly impressed with the updated Portrait mode.

Press pages can be tricky. Some companies try to put so much unnecessary information on them. I created our press page with reporters in mind. Plato is a recognized Thought Leader in the engineering management space, and as Quang and Jean-Baptiste begin doing more and more speaking gigs to share our mission, we want it to be super easy for those covering that mission to get what they need.

It was also sorely time for a head shot update. So I dragged them over to Salesforce Park and we did a photo shoot with our wonderful photographer, Dace James. While I wanted him to show a professional look for the two founders, I also wanted to capture Quang and JB’s exuberance for what they’ve been building with Plato.

One last page I’ll highlight is our community resources page. We recently hired a Head of Events, and we’ll be hosting more Plato events in key cities in the U.S and Europe. I also wanted a home for all of our resources we’ve curated and created, like our webinars, replays of keynotes and panels at our past events, open AMA sessions, and downloadables. So as we continue to create more resources, this page will expand, and be a hub for our growing community.

Hope you enjoyed getting a little visual tour of our new website! And good luck with the contest! Don’t forget to enter.

Haven’t heard of Plato before?!

Plato is on a mission to help engineering + product leaders develop soft skills and build better teams. Plato does this through a powerful mentoring platform, where new leaders connect with seasoned professionals for 1–1 sessions, AMAs, and a comprehensive knowledge base.

Plato Mentors have extensive experience in management, and come from top tech companies like Google, Facebook, Lyft, Slack, Netflix, and Spotify — among others.

Founded in 2017 by two French entrepreneurs, Quang Hoang, and Jean-Baptiste Coger who met while attending the prestigious ISAE-Supaero school of engineering, Plato is one of the fastest growing engineering + product mentoring platforms in the world.

Ashley is a global marketing consultant working with early stage startups, helping them share their stories. She’s been embedded with Plato as an part-time Head of Marketing for the past six months, and previously spent four years leading global programs and partnerships at Prezi, as well as a stint as the Director of Marketing at Redkix (acquired by Facebook). Before transitioning to the tech world, Ashley was an Assistant Director at the University of Washington, where she advised student leaders, and ran local and national marketing initiatives for 49 nonprofit organizations’ local chapters. When she’s not leading a team of incredible people, you can find her traveling, taking photographs, and practicing her French.
