On January 22nd, 23rd and 24th, all the professionals of the cultural and tourist ecosystem will gather for three days in Paris! Then go to the Docks — City of Fashion and Design for SITEM, the show specializing in equipment and enhancement of museums and other places dedicated to culture and tourism. Once again this year, smArtapps is participating in this must-attend event for industry professionals.

Simple curiosity about the possibilities offered by digital mediation or real project you want to share with us? Céline, Isabelle, Marie and Lélia … welcome you to booth B1 to answer all your questions.

We have reviewed SITEM’s programming and selected a small selection of workshops and conferences that we particularly recommend. You can already book the slot 14h-14h45 Wednesday, January 23: it will be our workshop! The Musée Gallé-Juillet, the Musée Grévin, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon and the Museum of Fine Arts in Nancy explain how they managed to reconcile scriptwriting and games in their application!

The conferences we want to listen to

January 22 :

13h45–14h45 — Escape GAME, Escape ROOM … everyone is talking about it but what is it really hiding behind the game of life-size escape, new leisure favorite of the French?

The smArtapps team LOVES Escape Games and hopes to discover all the secrets. In less than 4 years, 1700 escape rooms and 600 establishments opened in the area. Matt Lemercier, founder of WESCAPE and co-founder of THE ESCAPE LAB, will be present to share his expertise by giving us the keys, solutions, information and contacts to have to launch or not an escape game. He will answer the fateful question: Is launching an escape game today still a good idea?

January 23 :

16:15–17: 15 — The hidden resources of museum tickets

The entrance ticket, simple right-hand for a visit? And if it also became a support to strengthen the link with the visitor, enrich his experience or even release new resources? Reply with Gwenaëlle de Kerret, Semioologist and Public Study Director at SemioTiPS, and Philippe Zavier, Head of Dot Technologie, Ticketing Company, who will present the first results of a study on new market trends and expectations of visitors and professionals to reinvent the visit ticket.

The smArtapps team will be there to quench its thirst for curiosity!

January 24 :

13h -13h30 — # Museum404 — The error page 404, a chance for museums?

Who would have believed it ? The 404 error page could be an opportunity for museums. And if it is Omer Pesquer who says it, we believe it! He has tracked, explored, published error pages 404 of museum websites around the world, so we can not resist the record of this digital journey!

The workshops recommended by the smArtapps team

January 22 :

14h30–15h15 — Search for partners and patrons: what are the levers of development? Nomination Workshop, with the National Museum of Asian Arts — Guimet.

Between the stagnation — even the decline — of their subsidies and an increasingly competitive market, cultural institutions have more than ever need of patrons. Appointment gives us some ways to have a rewarding and structured approach, through an exchange with Guillaume Ravaille, Head of the Patronage and International Partnerships Department at the National Museum of Asian Arts — Guimet.

January 23 :

16h-16h45 — Studies in cultural places: what operational impacts? Atelier GECE, with the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon and Universcience

Qualitative and quantitative studies help to identify the difficulties and shortcomings that visitors may encounter during their journey and to generate decision-making in order to find solutions. At smArtapps, we are also convinced that getting to know our audience better enables cultural and tourist institutions to adapt more easily. We can not wait to discover this workshop!

January 24 :

11: 00–11: 45 — Implement a digital strategy? Crossed looks. Workshop {CORRESPONDANCES DIGITALES], with the Musée du 11 Conti — Monnaie de Paris, the Center des monuments nationaux, and the National Museum of Natural History.

The museum sector is on the way towards digital transformation … More than ever, cultural and tourist institutions need to adapt to the new uses of their public. We are curious to discover the various approaches of the stakeholders to define and animate the digital strategies of their establishments!
