Nichy’s Story
Serpentine
She was a demon maybe, she thought.
Sabrina cut her finger on the edge of the cardboard Drew — it was like the card that he gave her was a thorn in her purse. But she could not compel herself to throw it out, maybe it was because of the memory of sex with him she had had most recently, the most bizarre role play of all. Or if it was because she was starting to realize that she was not invisible like she seemed to think she was.
She had an affect on people, and she could not even go to London, because she and Carole were not really on speaking terms. She had been silent when Carole told her how she felt about her. She had been shell-shocked really. Sabrina had not imagined anything between them. She thought Carole was just her only and really close friend. Being in love and loving each other, was not something that she had imagined between them.
Carole took her silence as a rejection, and they had barely spoken since.
