The problem might be you

Every now and then we come across people or maybe ourselves who wants to achieve this XYZ goal but struggles to do you because some outside factor intervened in their life this week shifting all the workload to the next week.

Happens to mostly everybody we try to make something work then something urgent shows up (which being honest is not even that urgent a majority of times we just tend to focus on its more to run away from the work we were doing)

But there is also a second type of humans (the ones around us that can get a perfect balance in their goals making what they’re doing seem like an unclimbable mountain) below are some of their tricks

Taking Responsibility

The question that comes to the mind next is how to not do that, well the answer is simpler than you think all you’d need to do is start taking responsibility for everything that is happening in your life.

  1. Someone left a kitten at your doorstep great it's your responsibility now wither you’d like to keep it or hand it over to the shelter.
  2. The work you assigned yourself to be done by the weekend is still only 20% complete ask yourself why that is and take responsibility for it.

The more you try to clear the fog to see the culprit the faster you’ll discover that the culprit has the exact same appearance as you (who could have imagined doppelgangers are a real thing)

Self-Questioning

This is the part that is the most difficult for every single one of us because of the concept of cognitive dissonance

The law of cognitive dissonance states that we evolved apes will try to avoid any situation that tends to change our perceptions of ourselves

Which at times leads to us transferring the blame to some external factor

Questioning and raising fingers on yourself will do, not only will it give you discomfort, but on the bright side will give you a new point of view something you never would have imagined existed.

To make things easier let’s take an example

If you failed at something instead of finding things to blame, ask yourself

“This didn’t work out for me only or it didn’t work out for everyone else who tried it as well?”

See? maybe you need to try a different approach to crack the code this time

Tracking Your Progress

Tracking your progress after a week or a month can perhaps be both a positive and negative experience (depending on your actions)

Taking responsibility and keeping track of yourself can prove to be miraculous if met with consistency.

Want to gain/lose weight??

Track everything you eat

Feeling you are living a lazy lifestyle??

Track your workouts

The concept of rule of thumb applies to some areas of life, but not every single one that’s why tracking your progress is a necessity.

Even though these tricks may seem difficult to stick to, nevertheless they will not only give you more useful insights about yourself but will also help you better understand yourself as a whole.
