iPhone X’s Supply Versus Demand Nightmare

Two weeks from this Friday the Apple community will descend upon the Apple online store to preorder their iPhone Xs. Every year preorder night is wild, but this year looks to be much more insane than it usually is. Reports say that iPhone X supply is going to be severely constrained, likely because of the new TrueDepth camera module. Today it was reported that Apple has shipped its first set of iPhone X devices to the United States. The wild thing? The first batch only includes about 46,500 devices according to a Digitimes report that Ars Technica passed along. This is terrible news for fans looking to get their hands on the iPhone X within 2017. If Apple can’t produce enough of these then they are going to have a serious problem on their hands both with angry investors and fans.
