Being especially known for its superb surf spots, suitable for both professionals and beginners, the town of Taghazout situated in southern Morocco drips with vibrancy and is very popular among free spirits and yogis who are attracted by Taghazout’s native hippie vibes. Looking at the photos @debbieulrich is sharing with us, it is no surprise that people spend several weeks in this former fishing village, doing nothing but yoga, surfing and yoga again, followed by strolls across the market and through small alleys, shopping for some colorful hand-knotted rugs or local spices. A typical day is rounded off by some glasses of Morrocan mint tea, poured from 50cm above and enjoyed sitting on blankets on the floor in the late afternoon. In case of desire for some alternation or during especially hot times, a day trip to Immouzzer des Ida-Outanane makes for a welcome excursion. About 60km interior, the oasis consists of white houses surrounded by mountains and palm trees and is known for growing out wild thyme, lavender as well as its dates and honey production.
