Purchase made. Phone vibrates. That’s the feeling you get after every N26 transaction. You might be so used to this that you don’t notice it anymore. But for us, it’s something we work on everyday. And behind this little buzz in your pocket is a team of 300 employees from all over the world. Working together to make N26 better.

You already met our Customer Support. You’ve also met our head of international growth, Alex Weber and our head of design, Christian Hertlein. Today we want to invite you to tour our offices. So that you can put some faces to the people who work on your bank.

300 employees, 300 N26 customers

First and foremost—we’re all N26 customers ourselves. It’s not a requirement. But many of us actually applied to work here because we were. And happy customers at that. You could say we have a vested interest in making our bank the best it can be. All of us at N26 share the same goal: to reshape banking into something enjoyable.

An international team

We’re a continental bank that operates in 17 countries across the eurozone. We’re also ramping up for launches in the United Kingdom and the United States in 2018. This diversity is reflected in our offices. We’re a team of nationals from over 40 countries. They come from far and wide: England, Poland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Russia, India, New Zealand and so on. We all really wish we had spent more time learning a couple extra languages.

Dogs doing office things.

At N26, we have several office dogs. With good reason. According to a 2012 study from the United States, office dogs help to reduce stress in the workplace. Unfortunately, none of them speak Java or C++. We all share time with different dogs, so all the dog owners can be able to bring theirs to the office. We even have a doggy calendar to coordinate.

Suits really don’t suit us.

Think banker. You thought of someone in a suit, right? There’s no dress code here at N26. Well, unless you count wearing clothes in the first place. On our first day, we get a badge, a computer, and a sweatshirt. Everything else is up to ourselves. Though, there’s a certain someone who shows up to work in shorts (even in the winter). We actually applaud their dedication.

Making friends with fruits, vegetables, and pizza

Every morning at N26, we get several crates of fresh fruits and vegetables. These are free for snacking or vitamin supplementing. Some even use them for lunch. We’re also stocked with cereal and muesli for later risers. Health is important (don’t forget to eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies per day), but so is treating yourself. That’s why, to end the week on a positive note, we have pizza and beer every Friday evening. We’re vegan friendly too.

If working in an international, play at work environment is something you’re into, you can browse our job offers on our Careers Site.

If you’re a student, you can earn a bit extra for your studies as an N26 ambassador.

Thanks for stopping in to get to know us a bit more. We’re excited to be working for you. And as always, if you have any ideas feel free to drop us a line at ideas@n26.com.
