Re-animated artworks

By day, Vladimir operates a numerical control machine at a plant in Russia. In his spare time, however, under the name of Night, he creates these stunning living photos based on familiar videogame artwork.

Vladimir uses Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, and credits Andrew Kramer’s tutorials for teaching him most of the techniques involved. He combines layers of pre-existing images, then adds his own details and animation. Below you can see a demonstration of this process, which Vladimir created especially for this feature.
