Meet Ingrid Lederman
I’m Ingrid Lederman, a UX/UI Designer on the Story Engagement team and I joined Insider in February 2020!
What does your team do? What do you like or find interesting about your team?
On the Engagement team a part of our mission is to inspire and engage readers, and to “get users to turn the page.” I love this because it gives us the opportunity to take on a broad range of projects; anything from building features for the olympics, to exploring different ways to create personalized experiences for our users on the site. Our workflow is very experimental, which inspires creativity and allows us to iterate quickly.
One of our mottos is “get better everyday”. What is something that you got better at recently?
Not work-related but the ukulele! Does that count?
What are you most proud of having accomplished at Insider?
During our Insider’s Product & Tech Hack Week I worked with a developer to design and build a feature for the 2020 Election, the Election Live Feed, and it ended up going live on the site!
What is one thing you’d change in the tech industry?
More women!
If all animals were the same size, what animal do you think would win in a fight?
To avoid any danger, I’d say something very fast — a cheetah?
If you could instantly master 3 skills, which would you choose?
Flying, the guitar, and the snowboard half pipe — how the Olympics have inspired me.
