New Feature: One-Click Quotes

By far and away the most common question we receive and see manufacturers receive on a daily basis through SpecifiedBy is:

“How much does this cost?”

So, a few weeks ago whilst updating our messaging architecture, we decided to add a dedicated quote feature; one which would which quickly, efficiently and without any fuss, help answer that one simple question.

Specifiers can, in one click, request the price of a particular product. You can set the quantity or adjust the units to be more precise, but a simple click requests the basic price per unit automatically.

We handle the full message and chase up a response for you. And you can use it whether you are registered to SpecifiedBy or not.

The idea is very simple, but the results have been impressive:

In just 4 weeks, we have seen a little under £400,000 worth of quotes pass through this new feature on SB. And that’s without really promoting or optimising this feature in any way just yet.

We have lot’s of ideas about how to take this further in order to help specifiers get the information they need quicker: Instant estimates, benchmarking, smarter default units and the automatic integration of relevant project data (eg. location), to name a few.

And for building product manufacturers, this is delivering real value and increased sales for their businesses.

One-Click Quotes is the first of many new features and updates you can expect to see on SpecifiedBy in the next few months.
