During November 2015 I wrote a 50,000 word stream-of-consciousness story. I’m not sure quite how I managed to do it. The support of a small circle of fellow NaNoWriMo participants certainly helped.
The end result was what they call a “zero draft”. On New Year’s Eve I vowed that I would spend January working to improve what I had written, but that did not come to pass — a common ailment of mine. And so I’m doing it now. For the next 24 days I will be publishing a chapter of my story on this site, after re-reading and editing it to first-draft quality. Although I’m doing this for myself, my hope is that at least a few people will leave comments and suggestions that I will be able to use to improve my storytelling.
It should be fun! I hope you’ll join me on this journey of rediscovery…
