Hey there! Welcome back to the Inspire Believe Grow Weekly Question following a brief hiatus over Easter.

This week I’m taking a shot at a question that was asked in the comments to another post I wrote on Medium. I noted it down on my Trello board, and, well, here we are…

The question is this: Did Jesus come only for the Jewish people — or were his incarnation, ministry, death and resurrection targeted at everyone?

It’s easy to see how this question would arise because — and this might shock some White Christian Nationalists — Jesus was a Jew.

**pauses for a sharp intake of breath**

Take even a cursory look at the Gospels and we see that Jesus was:

  • born into a Jewish family
  • brought up according to Jewish law
  • lived in a Jewish town.
  • chose a bunch of Jewish disciples,
  • spoke in Jewish synagogues and temples,
  • travelled around mainly in Jewish…
