I Had My Best EVER Month on Medium in April — and I’m Thinking of Quitting

Do you ever think about your “end game” here on the Medium platform? Your “exit strategy?” Even your long-term goals?

Or, like me, did you stumble upon Medium one day, create an account and start spewing forth your thoughts?

I say this because I’ve been considering whether I want to continue writing on Medium.

But unlike so many of my fellow writers, who will threaten to throw their toys out of the pram because “Medium doesn’t pay me what I’m worth”, I’ve just had my most successful ever month on the platform.

Yeah, it’s true…

Now, I realise I did write a post at the end of last year about how I wouldn’t write any more “earnings report” posts and that I was done talking about Medium Payments.

Thus far, I’ve stuck to that — but this post wouldn’t make sense without at least touching on money, so I’m breaking my self-imposed rule for this one post.

Don’t worry, folks — this is NOT a return to the dreaded “how much I earned last month” guff…
