Wonder Workshop is hosting the annual Wonder League Robotics Competition starting October 17! Last year the winning team got to go to Silicon Valley to meet engineers, product managers, designers, and more who work on games at EA, space robots at NASA’s JPL, and technology sites they use every day like Facebook and Google. This year we are looking to bring Silicon Valley to every child who participates in the competition. We are looking for a few inspiring scientists and tech innovators to serve as Role Models!

We currently have children from all around the world signed up, many of whom would never be exposed to people who work in the technology industry. The Wonder League Robotics Competition is the biggest competitive robotics event in the world for ages 6–12 . Last year over 5k kids participated in the competition, and this year they are on track to having at least 20k participants.

Why should you do it?

You could spark a child’s interest in pursuing a STEM career! This is a great way to reach thousands of schools and teams worldwide.

What’s expected?

Role Models will do a remote live Q&A session (~30 mins) with one of the past winning teams from the competition. All the competing teams will have the opportunity to submit questions, and you will receive a list of questions ahead of time to prepare with. The video will be recorded so teams who can’t join live can watch at their practice sessions.

The Q&A session will likely be sometime in mid October — November. We can work together to coordinate a time that will work for everyone!

If you’re interested in being a role model, please fill out this form, and we will contact you!
