On March 28th, Wonder Workshop announced the winners of the international Wonder League Robotics Competition. Out of over 5,000 team submissions, five top teams in two age categories (6–8 and 9–12 years), took home the big prize.

Among these winners were the “Robot Ninja Helpers,” a duo named Drew and Camille from Cobb, Georgia. They won 2nd prize for ages 6–8. Their story is well told by journalist Gracie Bonds Staples of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It is a tale of curiosity and perseverance, and it all started with a Christmas gift from a grandparent.

Read about how Drew’s Mother discovered the Wonder League Robotics Competition and brought the two kids together to form, what would become, many months later, a winning team.
