Did you know that kids around the world have created 8 million programs for Dash & Dot? Over the past year, children have turned Dash & Dot into standup comedians, learned about the Underground Railroad, and traveled to space where they found that nothing is impossible. We’ve been so inspired by their creativity, ingenuity, and ability to express themselves through coding, storytelling, and robotics.

As parents and educators, we carry the hope we have for our own children’s future into the work that goes into making Dash & Dot better for all children. Forward-thinking teachers have used Dash & Dot to encourage the quiet students who may not normally be confident enough to speak up in class. To break down gender barriers to STEM alongside their students. And to rally their entire school to make those who are passionate about robotics just as celebrated as those who are good at sports.

We are humbled to see that Dash & Dot have made their way into over 7,000 elementary schools worldwide, earned praise from Melinda Gates as a top STEM toy, and won Good Housekeeping’s Toy of the Year Award. Today we are excited to announce that Wonder Workshop has raised $20 million in funding and that Dash & Dot will soon be available with local language support in several countries around the world.

Starting this year, Dash & Dot will speak Chinese, Korean, and German. As my co-founder and CTO Saurabh Gupta puts it, Dash & Dot will be living in a new culture, a new society, quite different from the one in the US. In order to make Dash & Dot feel at home, we’ve redesigned our entire stack so that experiences can be created for each environment. Not only will the programming blocks in Wonder and Blockly be available in each language, we’ve also redesigned the personalities of Dash & Dot for each region and the puzzles and scaffolding for kids to make them relevant for their world.

We’re also planning for new products for children and better ways to support the teachers in our community. We’re excited to see initiatives from governments around the world in bringing computer science into the school-day. We have big plans for the future, and we hope to grow alongside your children and nurture the promise and potential in every child.

Join us! We are hiring across the board. Even if you don’t see a role you fit into, we are happy to talk about the future. Email us at careers@makewonder.com.

Thanks for being a part of that journey.
