Saturday Stories: Interoperability
Your Weekend Reads in Education

“Interoperability” is a somewhat of a hot topic in education lately — but for good reason. Educators, administrators, students, EdTech developers, and other stakeholders are beginning to recognize a crucial need in implementing digital learning solutions. The issue is that when a teacher is tasked with managing student data and multiple digital learning programs, he or she will likely hit some roadblocks if that data and those systems aren’t communicating — which is a real problem, because student data and digital learning solutions can influence deep, empowering changes in the classroom when they work as intended.
Interoperability is the solution to this problem: it’s about providing educators with a seamless digital teaching and learning experience. It requires a lot of cooperation, communication, and creative problem solving among various stakeholders. But, by adopting a shared mindset and putting our heads together, that seamless experience can be a reality. That’s why Interoperability is the focus of this week’s Saturday Stories.
