This year at SXSW EDU, we’re excited to host two informative sessions centered on equity, and how technology can be used to support and nurture achievement of all students. See below for details on our session that focuses on how to deconstruct explicit biases while creating an affirming school culture.

Our second session will focus on equitable use of technology though #Techquity. Learn more, here.

Implicit Bias: Reframing Our Assumptions

We all hold implicit and explicit biases and assumptions, despite our awareness of them — but we also all have the ability to acknowledge and deconstruct those biases. In this session, presenters will lead a collaborative, workshop-based discussion designed for K-12 educators who wish to further equity and inclusivity starting with their own relationships with students, peers, and families. Discussion will reflect on and deconstruct explicit biases while creating an affirming school culture.

  • Location: Hilton Austin Downtown | Salon A
  • Date & Time: Tuesday, Mar 10| 11:00–Noon CST
