They key is a mathematics curriculum with a heavy emphasis on academic rigor that challenges your students to tackle demanding content, think independently, and apply what they’ve learned to a variety of contexts. Young learners thrive on high expectations: if you communicate that you believe they are capable of high achievement, they may start to believe it themselves.
