We are thrilled to share that we are now officially recognized as a Kindness Certified Company!

Our community — and the entire world — needs more kindness, compassion and unity. We believe we can make a difference by having a positive impact on our employees, community, and the environment.

We are proud and excited to join with other like-minded companies to show our leadership, make a commitment to kindness, and take tangible actions to be good to our people, community, planet, and world.

This special recognition was awarded to us by our long-time partners at Kids for Peace, the creators of the Great Kindness Challenge.

Committing to Kindness

A free, powerful, week-long program, the Great Kindness Challenge is a PreK-12 initiative that positively transforms school culture through kindness. When a school signs up, they are provided with tools that enable them to dedicate one week to kindness. Armed with a motivating and exciting “checklist” of random acts of kindness, students and educators can participate in the movement by checking off as many items on that list as they can in the span of a week, and transforming their school climate to a safe space for all students.

In the 2020 Great Kindness Challenge, over 15 million students in 28,000 schools committed 750 million kindness across 115 countries. We’re proud to support such an effective and powerful program!

Prioritizing Social and Emotional Learning

The Great Kindness Challenge is an excellent way to integrate aspects of social and emotional learning into your school’s culture and routines. For us, being a Kindness Certified Company means that we believe in the power of kindness for ourselves and for our partners in learning communities — we are always striving to provide teachers, educational leaders, and parents with resources to practice kindness in the classroom and at home, and to strengthen their social and emotional learning initiatives.

Our 7 Guiding Principles of Social and Emotional Learning draw from existing research to outline ways educators can integrate SEL into instruction, and prioritize SEL throughout the school day:

For parents, our Guide to Social and Emotional Learning at Home is specifically designed to promote SEL activities and practice outside of the classroom:

We’re so grateful to our friends at Kids for Peace for including us in their journey to spread kindness in classrooms around the world, and to our incredible partners in the classroom for continually prioritizing kindness in their instruction every day. With passionate educators and empowered students, the world is sure to become a better, kinder place with each passing day.
