Need some #MondayMotivation? Well, here it is! Meet the future #GirlsinSTEM.
The Inspirefest team spent a day last week at Accenture’s #GirlsinSTEM event in Dublin, which saw more than 500 young girls and their teachers explore the world of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and the ample career opportunities that lie within. Accenture welcomed 1,800 girls across the UK and Ireland to participate in the special one-day events for Girls in STEM, with the core aim being to demystify some of the preconceptions around STEM and show that STEM careers are fun, and not just for boys.

The Inspirefest team brought along the Inspirefest ambition wall and asked the students to pin their future goals on the wall.
And we found no shortage of STEM careers with this bunch.
We were very fortunate to have Laura Tobin, science communicator and co-organiser of Dublin Maker, show students a mini science-based magic show at our stand.
Throughout the day, the students got to have some hands-on experiences, with STEM workshops run by Stemettes and Outbox Incubator Execs.
Our badges were a big hit!
Inspirefest 2015 speaker Lauren Boyle, EU Digital Girl of the Year 2014 was also at the event with her classmates to take part in some hackatons.
We also got chatting with Niamh Scanlon, EU Digital Girl of the Year 2015, who will be speaking at Inspirefest this summer. Niamh was speaking about her love of coding on the Demystifying STEM panel.
The event was so good, in fact, that it was trending on Twitter!
