A Big Picture
It all starts with the fact that we, human-being, have an ability to own multiple things in the same time.
A hundred percent of book lovers have more than one book. Even though they are a big fan of this author but they can’t deny that books from that author are also good. A hard evidence about this is when we ask for an advice about books we should read on a particular topic:
“Well … you are interested in this topic. Great. You should start with this one, then this one. And yes, this one is as good” — The answer never starts and ends with a single book from a single author. It must come as a series.
The more author writing good book, the better to the book (publishing) industry. Because we can own as many books as we want at the same time. All these talented authors don’t compete against each other but rather they are competing with the fast moving world to keep reading a long-lasting world culture.
We can apply the same logic to many more industries. Music lovers own countless of CDs, and ten thousands of digital songs — be it Lady Gaga or Rihanna … Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez. As the competition among them seems so fiercely, but what is more interesting is how to keep and grow pop music as a world culture.
Clothes, fashion, automobile, real estate, digital devices, and software of course. Chat lovers have more than one chat apps, haven’t they? Having more do no harm. As the competition among them seems so fiercely, but what is more interesting is how to keep typing and communication in trend.
Every industry has an internal competition among players. In the same time every industry must compete with this changing world. And we cannot win this competition alone but altogether, we can stand a chance. It all starts with doing good work then improve the work we do continuously.
It becomes an accountability more than just ourselves but an industry as a whole. Every action we take directly affects the industry we are in. We must remind ourselves everyday to do better jobs than yesterday not just for ourselves but for something bigger. Whatever happens, the world must have books, musics, and software for a long time.
Thinking and writing are the things I like. Sharing is what I love. Because of them, I write everyday to share stories from my thoughts and experiences, from the future I see and believe in. Everything I use to build Inthentic a better home. A home of people who want to do good things and give back. A home that is a small starting point of changes for a better society. I am proud of what I am doing. And even prouder to know that I am not doing it alone.
Thanks for reading. :-)
