Chicken and Egg

In the beginning of starting a business, if we have time (likely) we have chances to generate money. But in order to have time, we need money first — Chicken and egg problem.

We need a certain amount of income to keep the company survive. In the same time, we need a certain amount of time to build a future business.

Work that brings us money is normally boring. It is a 9AM-6PM kind of work. It is for today only. And it consumes the most of our time.

Work that brings us fortune is normally a lot more interesting. It is a night-and-weekend kind of work. It is for the future. But it doesn’t generate any immediate money yet. Shame.

Question 1 — “Which is more important between time and money?”

Answer 1 — “Nothing is more important than the other. They are as important because we need them both at the same time.”

Question 2 — “What can bring us time?”

Answer 2 — “Money … but in order to have money, we need time first.”

As a result, we must find a way to make money with the least time and resources possible.

  1. Think for a simpler way.
  2. Do less.
  3. Plan shorter.
  4. Focus on tangible results.
  5. Don’t ignore small money.
  6. One step at a time.

When both time and money are limited, this might be the only way out. :)

Thinking and writing are the things I like. Sharing is what I love. Because of them, I write everyday to share stories from my thoughts and experiences, from the future I see and believe in. Everything I use to build Inthentic a better home. A home of people who want to do good things and give back. A home that is a small starting point of changes for a better society. I am proud of what I am doing. And even prouder to know that I am not doing it alone.
