Something for Something Else

I bought a 130 Baht cup of cappuccino. Not because I wanted drink but I needed a place to sit.

I decided to go to that party. Not because I enjoyed dancing but I hoped to meet her.

I applied for a computer science program. Not because I liked coding but I thought it could provide me a better opportunity and a better life.

I said yes to him — the most demanding client. Not because this project was cool but I hoped to get a good reference for my company.

From time to time, you unwillingly choose to do something for something else. You are not sure if you make a right decision. You doubt that this investment will pay you a sweet return. But that’s normal. All of us have been there.

As long as you know what “something” and “something else” are, you will be fine.

As long as you know what you will have to endure “something” and what you hope to get from “something else”, you are not lost.

So don’t blame yourself for doing something for something else. In fact, try to search for a delightful experience from the “something”.

Maybe it is a hell good cup of cappuccino. :-)

Thinking and writing are the things I like. Sharing is what I love. Because of them, I write everyday to share stories from my thoughts and experiences, from the future I see and believe in. Everything I use to build Inthentic a better home. A home of people who want to do good things and give back. A home that is a small starting point of changes for a better society. I am proud of what I am doing. And even prouder to know that I am not doing it alone.

Thanks for reading. :-)
