Firing people is easy. Firing toxic culture is hard.
Because bad culture is so sticky.
Because bad culture is rooted so deeply and spreads everywhere.
Because bad culture can’t be killed.
Why is changing people behavior one of the hardest things to do? It’s not just because of people but their belief and habits.
Firing one person doesn’t affect a company culture at all. She is gone but the bad culture is fine.
Hiring one good person doesn’t affect a company culture at all. Because when a good person meets bad system, the system always wins.
We must build a new team filled with new minds, new ideas, new way of working. We must put them in a new (hopefully better) environment to allow them to create a new (hopefully better) culture to fight the old bad one.
Don’t let people fight the bad system alone. Arm them with the new system. Then they can stand a chance to kill the bad guy once and for all.
Thinking and writing are the things I like. Sharing is what I love. Because of them, I write everyday to share stories from my thoughts and experiences, from the future I see and believe in. Everything I use to build Inthentic a better home. A home of people who want to do good things and give back. A home that is a small starting point of changes for a better society. I am proud of what I am doing. And even prouder to know that I am not doing it alone.
