Startup culture is a tricky one. I think I would hire for culture over talent any day of the week. Teaching technical skills or design skills is possible, changing behavior to fit your company culture is not. Ultimately I think culture is built from the top. If your founding team doesn’t put culture at the top of their priority list then it will never be a core principle in your company.
