Catch A Falling Star
A sky filled with beauty
#9 — When you look at the stars, what do you feel? (My Star answer is here.)
I live outside of a small town where there is nothing obstructing my view of the nighttime sky. In addition there are no lights so the the beauty is there to see.
What do I feel? Awe. It’s like being a little kid lying on your back and staring up at the endless expanse. Mind blowing!
I can’t fathom what I’m looking at, so it’s best to focus on the stars and the few constellations I can identify. The peace and quiet is incredible.
I also feel peace. I don’t know why, but looking at the starts gives me peace. It’s always fun to see a shooting star. Why? I can’t explain it but perhaps it is knowing that you are seeing into the past. The shooting star died eons ago, but I get to see it now. Again — Mind Blowing!
So here is what I feel — awe and peace.
