Salutations!

It has been a wild ride since our product hunt launch back in May of this year. First of all, this blog was long overdue, we know. It has been a busy 2 months for our team continuously iterating through ideas and bringing them to life. Hence, we would like to share an update with you all on what have been doing.

Product Hunt

As a whole company, we would like to give our most sincere thanks to all of those who have supported us during our product hunt campaign. With your support, we battled for the top 3 spots for product of the day and we achieved #1 product of the week! For those of you reading who are not familiar with what Product Hunt is — PH is an American website made for sharing and discovering new products. It was founded by Ryan Hoover in November 2013. Users submit products, which are listed in a linear format by day [and they compete for upvotes based on what the community thinks. The more upvotes you receive, the longer you stay on the leaderboard for exposure and press.] The site includes a comments system and a voting system similar to Hacker News or Reddit.

As a young startup, this is the universe’s way of telling us that we are on the right track. Since then, we have improved our product many fold.

Improvements

As mentioned at the start of this blog, we are currently overhauling our UI/UX as well as adding more features into our product. We have found better ways to further optimize conversion rates by tweaking the user experience journey. Furthermore, through many internal discussions we have decided to speed up our development in integrating more payment gateways to Instant. Our next frontier will be integrating Paypal as part of our payment ecosystem. We believe that to truly provide an instantaneous checkout experience, we must look into integrating some of the biggest and most trusted players in town.

One of the top recurring reasons for cart abandonment has always been the lack of trust from shoppers with online sites. Paypal is a symbol of one of the most trusted online payment solutions brands out there, our decision to begin integration with PayPal solves two main pain points for customers.

  1. Trusting websites when transacting — trust
  2. Providing multiple payment solutions — flexibility

Our Partnerships

As a part of our business model, we are always actively looking to partner/work with trusted brands in the e-commerce space to upgrade the internet’s way of doing business. As a company and a band of innovators, we believe that in order to build great products it requires great people, hence partnerships.

Since our product launch, we have partnered with CedCommerce and Web Delegate to become a part of our Instant payment ecosystem.

CedCommerce is a one-stop-shop for everything you need in e-commerce. Cedcommerce started their development business over 11 years ago and have become a premier choice globally and especially in SE Asia, with 3+ locations, 5+ awards, and 15+ teams globally. Their current track record sits at 30,000+ happy clients across 25+ countries with 850+ products developed/worked on! We are more than happy to work with such a powerhouse agency!

Web Delegate is a Singaporean digital marketing & web development company that focuses on helping SMEs to grow their business online. Their team has worked with local and international clients since 2012 covering an array of different industries and services. Due to their excellent work, reviews, and long running record in Singapore, they were the obvious choice for us to partner with to provide a high level of service in the e-commerce space.

Building a Knowledge Library

Aside from engineering and product development, we have increasingly become more aware of how important it is for a company to create good content. Instant is in a unique position where we are changing the way people do business online. Through our journey as a company, we will uncover many gems and lessons. We hope to share what is relevant through our social media channels as we learn these lessons ourselves, so that one day this knowledge becomes useful to others. We will share this content in the form of blogs, social media posts, and eventually short form videos. We encourage any of our viewers/readers to interact with us to provide feedback on what we can improve on and what you’d like to see in the future.

Give us a follow and thanks for reading.
