Manchester City Partners With Korean Sports Service Developer Superbloke
Manchester City announced its partnership with Korean sports service developer Superbloke. Superbloke will become Man City’s first blockchain-based Gacha partner.
Korean-based Superbloke, whose marketing and IT experts use their passion for football to seek “How Blockchain technology can bring new kind of fun for football fans?” The company is also the only one in Korea with an IP license that allows them to access proprietary data from top clubs and leagues in Europe as well as players images.
The new deal specifies that Superbloke will use their platform to integrate both players and experiences into their online game FC Superstars. The goal is to engage fans across Japan, Korea, and South-East-Asia by enabling them to combine their love of online gaming with that for Man City.
“This new partnership with Superbloke marks another exciting milestone in City’s growing relationship with gaming and will create unique experiences for fans to engage with the Club through digital platforms,” stated Damian Willoughby, senior vice president of partnerships for City Football Group. “We look forward to welcoming Superbloke to the Manchester City family and growing our knowledge of this developing industry through this partnership.”
The blockchain-based game allows fans the opportunity to collect as well as train and grow their Man City layer cards applying real match stats.
