DraftKings announced a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) making them the Authorized Gaming Operator of MLB. While the global sports technology and entertainment company had previously worked with the MLB, the new partnership expands its clout over the sport. DraftKings sports betting products will now have the rights to use official MLB data along with MLB official league and team logos on their sports betting platforms, both retail and online.

“DraftKings is proud to be designated as a Major League Baseball Authorized Gaming Operator,” stated Ezra Kucharz, the chief business officer at DraftKings. “This deal speaks to the commitment we have to our customers and sports leagues alike while providing the safest and most entertaining American-made sportsbook. As a result of this agreement, our customers will experience enhanced live wagering offerings for all MLB games.”

The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. However, the new agreement speaks to MLB’s dedication to not only leverage and integrate official data through the use of expanded technology but also emphasizes the league’s commitment to enhancing fan engagement for the next generation.

MLB has continually focused on advanced data analytics. However, making DraftKings the MLB Authorized Gaming Operator shows the leagues increased commitment to its fans and their desire to have access to advanced technologies.
