With PGA Tour play still more than a month away, TaylorMade has put together a 2-man team event that will benefit COVID-19 relief efforts.

The Taylor-Made Driving Relief match pits Rickie Fowler and Matthew Wolff against Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson. The team skins game is scheduled for May 17th at the Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida.

“It’s been difficult to witness what so many are enduring over the last several weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” stated McIlory. “I hope that we can provide some respite and entertainment for those tuning in across the globe. Dustin and I will have a lot of fun together and our games will fit well as we push to raise funds and awareness on May 17th.”

UnitedHealth Group has Pledged $3 million in charity skins with the proceeds going to the CDC Foundation ( for which Fowler and Wolff are playing) and the American Nurses Foundation (McIlroy and DJ). Farmers Insurance has pledged an additional $1 million for a birdies and eagles pool benefiting Off Their Plate, a cause dedicated to aiding COVID-19 healthcare workers.

NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico will do live coverage commentary from his home in Michigan along with with analysts Gary Koch and Paul Azinger. Rich Lerner will cover the play-by-play from an off-site production facility. Steve Sands and Jerry Foltz will be the two on-site reporters.

The event will be aired live) on NBC, NBCSN, Golf Channel, and Sky Sports, and will also be streamed for free on PGA Tour Live (NBC Sports Gold and Amazon Prime Video), GolfChannel.com, GolfPass, from 2–6 PM EST.

“We are excited about the safe and responsible return of live golf and the opportunity to raise significant funds for those on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic through the TaylorMade Driving Relief event,” stated PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan.

The event will follow all CDC national distancing guidelines meaning no fans are allowed on site. The Tour is scheduled to make its official comeback on June 11th with the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
