The Detroit Lions Name BetMGM As Their Official Sports Betting Partner

The Detroit Lions inked a deal with BetMGM, the joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, making the club’s first Official Sports Betting Partner. The partnership features both fan-focused services as well as digital marketing assets, team broadcast programming, and in-stadium signage and promotions. The new programs are an extension of an existing Lion-MGM Resorts partnership, the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel at Ford Field.

“The Detroit Lions historic relationship with BetMGM has been years in the making and we’re proud to announce details of our official partnership,” stated Detroit Lions Team President Rod Wood. “We’re continuously seeking new ways to entertain and involve our fans which is especially important during such unusual times; this partnership with BetMGM will provide additional and exciting opportunities to engage our fans.”

Lions Bingo was introduced in 2019, the predictive game in which fans can guess what plays might happen and what statistics may be achieved during home and away games for non-cash prizes. However, now working with BetMGM the ante has significantly increased. Fans who can accurately predict the correct sequence of various game scenarios are eligible to win cash prizes and future all-expense-paid trips to visit various MGM Resorts across the country.

Additionally, Lions Perks was introduced in 2018 and are available on the team’s mobile app for all fans attending Lions home games. Now, BetMGM and the BetMGM Sports Lounge at the MGM Grand Detroit Casino will offer fans exclusive Lions Perks special offers and rewards. Fans can also gift all or a portion of their Lions Perks, and MGM points to Detroit Lions Charities.

Fans are now encouraged to scan their Lions Perk Card for any food and beverage or merchandise purchase at Ford Field to earn entries into various Gameday sweepstakes. Season ticket holders could also qualify for Super Bowl and Pro Bowl Sweepstakes by scanning their Lions Perks card for their in-stadium purchases.

“When we first opened the BetMGM Sports Lounge at MGM Grand Detroit in March, we hoped to develop deep relationships with the state’s top teams,” stated BetMGM’s Chief Marketing Officer Matt Prevost. “We are honored to be the first sports betting partner of the Lions and to offer their fans access to a variety of best-in-class promotions and perks only available on BetMGM.”

Lions officials are continually seeking new ways to engage and entertain fans on a variety of levels. The new partnership BetMGM gives fans both entertaining and unique experiences. The new perks promise to entice a new wave of fans to both become Detroit Lions fans and participate in both Lions Bingo and Lions Perks.
