The PGA Tour signed a deal with NBC to launch a second screen betting show, which will air on the Peacock streaming service during the PGA Tour’s US-based golf tournaments.

NBC Sports Edge BetCast, available only on Peacock Premium, is backed by PointBet and debuts today at the Waste Management Phoenix Open being played at TPC Scottdale’s Stadium Course.

The partnership activation comes after PointsBet, an official betting partner of the PGA Tour, signed a deal with NBS Sports last year worth $500 million.

“The PointsBet team is thrilled to work alongside our partners in NBC Sports and the PGA TOUR to bring to life a very engaging and unique sports betting production,” stated Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA CEO. “We all recognize that golf is ripe for sports betting innovation, and at PointsBet, we control our destiny when it comes to building the best golf betting experience in the world with our fully owned and operated technology platform. We are excited to highlight our golf product via the NBC Sports Edge BetCast stream and show golf fans our market-leading offering.”

Peacock Premium’s watch-along show, BetCast, will follow predominantly featured groups; at the same time, top analysts will discuss potential betting odds using online bookmaker PointBet.

Using PointsBet, BetCast will have the ability to offer viewers odds on proposition bets, data-rich companion graphics highlighting both players scores and their position, and the integration of tournament leaderboards and odds.

“The NBC Sports Edge BetCast stream on Peacock Premium is another step forward for our sports betting strategy,” stated Norb Gambuzza, PGA Tour senior vice president, media and gaming.
“As we continue to embrace sports betting, the tour will continue to innovate and find new ways to engage fans around the world.”

A BetCast host and two analysts will provide coverage from an NBC Golf Channel Live studio set. Additionally, coverage will include a PointBet oddsmaker streaming from their trading desk.
