US Soccer inked a long-term apparel partnership with Nike, extending their collaboration which dates back to 1995. Multiple media reports state the new contract will last ten years.

While the deal’s financial terms have not been disclosed, US Soccer described it as the ‘largest commercial agreement in US Soccer history’ and ‘one of Nike’s largest soccer federation investments globally.’ Nike’s agreement with the French Football Association is worth an estimated $60 million per year for comparison’s sake.

Per the agreement, the Oregon-based company will provide all kits for US Soccer’s national team programming, including both senior men’s and women’s sides along with youth, beach, para, and futsal.

“Nike has been such a positive partner for US Soccer for a long time and has played a major role in the growth of the federation as well as putting tremendous support behind many of our players over the years,” stated Cindy Parlow Cone, president of US Soccer.
“To continue this partnership on such a high level, to continue to pursue the vitally important goals we both share and to have access to resources that will boost all areas of the federation, are things that make us feel extremely positive about the future of soccer in the United States.”

Additionally, US Soccer and Nike stated they would focus their efforts on growing the women’s game and providing greater access to soccer with the ultimate goal of making it the most inclusive sport in the country.

“Nike looks forward to building on our more than 25-year history with US Soccer to shape the future of sport at all levels,” stated Becca Kerr, Nike vice president and general manager of North America women’s.
“We want more kids — especially girls — to fall in love with sport because they had positive early experiences with soccer. Growing the game starts with investing in inclusivity.”

The renewal is grounded around four key pillars meant to drive exponential growth for the game and positive social change.

  1. Driving inclusivity
  2. Showcasing sustainability efforts
  3. Elevating the profile of the women’s game
  4. Driving cultural relevancy through content, art, and lifestyle
