If you’re looking for your next cook, server, host, kitchen manager or anything in between — you’ve come to the right place. Instawork is the best place to hire hospitality talent online.

To make sure you have an amazing experience hiring on Instawork, here are some quick tips:

Write a great job post — it all starts with putting up the perfect job post. Nail this one and you will not only attract a lot of applicants, but more importantly, you will attract the right ones.

Make sure to keep your post concise to ensure candidates read all the key points. Include a brief description of the company, the main responsibilities of the position, the experience you expect from applicants and a specific compensation range. Listing compensation builds trust with applicants and ensures you’re not wasting time with folks that have different expectations.

Introduce yourself — on Instawork you’re not limited just to candidates that apply to your job post. Under your introductions tab, Instawork recommends job seekers near you that we think are a good fit for your opening. If you see someone you like, click “Yes, Intro Me,” write them a short personal note that outlines your interests and we will reach out to connect you.

Schedule interviews — on Instawork’s interview scheduler tool, set up blocks of time for approved applicants to book interviews. This tool allows you to keep track of all of your interviews in one place and also sends candidates an automated interview confirmation to help prevent those annoying no-shows.

Learn from feedback — Instawork will let you know if candidates are responsive, liked by other businesses or have a history of no shows, so use this information to your advantage. For example, it might not be worth your time scheduling an interview with someone with a history of not showing up. Please also do you your best to mark candidates with feedback so the rest of the Instawork community can use this information.

Act fast — candidates move quickly in the restaurant industry, so it’s important to stay on top of incoming applications. Start taking advantage of the introductions feature right when your post goes live. When candidates have had time to apply directly to your role, don’t wait to reach out to the ones you like. We recommend that you contact candidates about interviews within one day of their application and aim to schedule an interview for that week.

Our promise — if you’re not happy let us know while your post is still live and we’ll do everything we can to make it a success. If you’ve done your best to follow this guide and you’re still not happy at the end of your post, then it’s on us.

If you need to post a job, head over to Instawork and login here. If you haven’t used us before, put up your first post here.
