The past few years at Hub Australia we’ve witnessed the impact possible by harnessing communities of passionate entrepreneurs. Magic happens when changemakers come together to share learnings and spread wisdom. A vibrant and infectious energy is generated that catalyses growth and creativity. It spurred me to wonder..

How might we ignite appetite for innovation inside the hearts and minds of our world’s institutional leaders?

This inquiry quickly led to The League of Intrapreneurs, a global movement of institutional changemakers working to transform society from the inside out.

The Explorer-In-Residence at Deloitte’s Centre for the Edge tweet intro’d us to Alexa Clay in Berlin. Alexa is one of the co-conspirators behind The League of Intrapreneurs and author of the upcoming Misfit Economy: Innovation on the Fringe.

As a dynamic movement maker, Alexa knows when an idea has wings you have to set it free. She and Maggie De Pree proposed we run experiments under the LOI brand down-under. Now we’re prepping to launch The League of Intrapreneurs Australia, the first local circle of the global network originally incubated in 2012 by Ashoka, The Human Agency, IDEO, Accenture, The World Bank, IDB, and a band of corporate misfits in Washington D.C..

Calling All Institutional Changemakers

A small, inspired group of us are already gathering and dreaming about what may unfold. We envisage a radically different kind of peer-learning network to support the development and cross-pollination of knowledge between institutional innovators.

Are you boldly challenging the status quo inside your institution? Join us! Together we’ll accelerate our impact. We no longer need to walk alone.

Reach out to us by twitter or email to stay tuned in as things progress. More to come. Watch this space.
