Integrify — A ray of hope to fulfil my vision
Even before coming to Finland I was quite into IT world, flourishing, working onsite as a Specialist to Polycom Bangalore through Tata Elxsi in India. Things were going all smoothly, but one day I had to make a decision and quit my job and move to Qatar with my family.
There I shared quality time with my daughter who was then six years old. I started mentoring her with friends, who brought more of their friends which finally raised a necessity to open III-School based on the principle of Integrity, Initiative & Intelligence for Primary & Pre Primary Grades. It was real fun to work with kids who dream in the future to be scientists, astronauts, doctors, teachers & artists.
Alongside I also continued enhancing my coding skills in the Javascript world. I volunteered creating a few websites & apps, but since it was a short visit to Qatar I needed to leave my students and explore the world in Finland — the safest country in the world topped with one of the best education systems. I was also amazed by Finland’s alluring natural beauty and friendly citizens.
As it is well known, landing one’s first job in a foreign country is not easy. I was quite in distress wondering who could serve as a beacon of light and then I got to know about Integrify. I left no stone unturned to get through the screening and interview process and here I am now as a Front-end developer at Integrify.
The quality of learning I am doing every day is unprecedented from highly qualified & experienced mentors who are so patient to take us to the nitty-gritty of the concepts. They also give us courage and confidence to sail through the blockers faced in JavaScript and more specifically in React world both in terms of Frontend & Backend.
Often we also get an opportunity to represent Integrify in various coding meetups such as Slush, Helsinki JS, Node JS, ngGirls to name a few, where we build our network and hear more about the latest trends and technologies shared by industry leaders.
I always wanted to contribute for the kids of the world. They are our future after all. Inspired from my daughter’s life, I have been pondering about a solution for kids to do group activities with their friends miles apart in different countries and continents. Now with the leaning here, I am confident that I will be able to contribute to such a Portal, which can bring kids together to show their creativity.
My vision is blessed with a ray of hope and I wish the same to all my fellow colleagues that soon their dreams may also become true!
