It’s been a while since our last post and now it’s time to break the hiatus.

A lot has happened during the past two months. The most important thing is that we have started a new developers training class in December 2017!

We were positively surprised of receiving over 500 applications to the program. This meant that we allocated a lot of time for going through all applications in detail, organising face to face interviews and having the skills of the applicants tested.

In the end sixteen highly motivated, smart and hard-working participants were selected for the program and we are glad to say that we have been impressed by the progress our participants have showed during the past two months!

Our course lasts for six months and it is full-time, meaning that we code Monday to Friday 09–17. This adds up to almost 1000 hours of pure coding, which means that our graduates are ready to hit the ground running as junior developers once they start at our partner companies.

We focus on the most recent technologies with the greatest market demand, so the time spent at Integrify will be worth it for the participants. Our main focus is in JavaScript, React, Node.js, HTML5 and CSS. These are the technologies sought after in the current booming tech market and of course by our partner companies. You can take a look at our curriculum here:

You will get to know our participants a bit more soon, but as a sneak peak we can reveal that we have for example a Computer Science graduate from Åbo Akademi, ex- software developer from the Indian conglomerate Tata, and a Political Science graduate turned software developer. Many of the participants actually have previous experience in coding, which means that our accelerated learning model is even faster than first expected!

Class of 2017 ready to push code in repository near you!

At this point we would like to thank our sponsors, who are the ones that made it possible for us to do what we do. Again, thank you Kide-säätiö, Suomen Kulttuurirahasto, Väinö Tannerin säätiö and Kaute säätiö. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

So stay tuned, a lot of exciting stuff is happening at the moment and we’re about to start sharing it with you guys more often!

P.S. We are located at the start-up hub Maria01 in Kamppi so if you want to swing by, please let us know and we’ll make it happen.
