We did it again! Only a couple of weeks after Integrify was announced to be one of the 15 finalists of the Vuosisadan Rakentajat (Builders of the Century) challenge, we once again got a proof that our coding program for refugees and asylum seekers is more than just a great idea.

It is a solution that has a chance to improve the everyday life of many people in Finland.

The purpose of the “Ratkaisu 100” challenge prize is to define a social problem that affects all Finnish people. The ultimate goal of the challenge prize is not to find a solution but to enable the practical implementation of the winning innovation.

Integrify’s concept tackles an ever-growing problem in Finland. Today, it takes on average multiple years for an asylum seeker to get a low-skill job in Finland. Our solution will empower refugees to take part in the start-up eco system and fill developer positions after only 6–12 months. explains Daniel Rahman, CEO of Integrify.

The team with the best idea will be awarded one million euros to bring their idea to life. But before that there will be a rigorous 6-month-long process during which the teams will develop their ideas with professionals.

We’re keeping our eyes on the prize, so we are willing to work hard. I see no reasons why we would not emerge as winners here, says Rahman with confidence.

The winner of the “Ratkaisu 100” challenge prize will be announced on 16 November 2017.
