Stop Blaming Your Age For Giving Up

I’m sick of people my age using “getting older” as their excuse for everything

Bilbo gets a pass. Nobody else.

“Getting old is not for wimps,” is one of my dad’s favourite expressions. He uses it a lot. What it means (best I can tell) is that getting old is hard, painful, ugly and downright unpleasant, and if you’re a wimp, you’ll suffer old age badly.
