Witch Does Laundry

I did the laundry by hand.
I stirred it with a broomstick
and chanted, “Damn!
Women used to work hard!
They got no credit! None of the credits!”
I hung it draining in the bathtub,
stretched on a rack,
until it dried up and could blow in the wind.
I buried it in a chest of drawers
to season it with cedar smell
and soon, I will wear it like a skin.
Muhuwahahahahaaa!
