Our world is crowded today with voices. So how do you find and express yours in such a world? In the first place, do you know that your life has a voice that is beyond your physical voice? There are many things about every human being that make each of us unique. One of them is your voice.

Interestingly, every one’s voice is unique to his or her personality. Even from a physical voice tone’s perspective, you will discover how interesting it is that one person can easily be identified and differentiated from another just by the sound of his or her voice. Therefore, no two person’s voice is the same.

However, it is also one of the greatest challenges to find one’s voice. Nonetheless, it is important you find your voice. With you voice, you can speak out and create relevance for yourself. It is important to find your voice because the power of your life is in the power of your voice.

So really, what’s your voice in the first place? Your voice is your unique strengths. Your voice is your message. Your voice is your assignment. The mistake most people may have made in the past year would be to look for a platform first, rather than finding their voice. It’s like putting the cart before the horse.

It is true that for your voice to be heard, you will need a platform but the platform or its size is not the important thing. The most important thing is finding your voice to fill the platform. Then after finding your voice, the more your voice increases in impact, the more God raises you and elevates your platform.

Why do you then need to find your voice? It is important to find your voice because success eludes those who do not. Your voice is your representation, without it you’re like every other person. Your voice can bring healing and hope to those it speaks to if you find it and keep it speaking loud. Finding your voice gives you confidence that you have something to contribute to humanity.

Five ideas to help you find your voice:

Be true to yourself

Though it is a very good thing to admire the good in others and look up to those ahead of your for mentorship, you do not need to strive to be like any of them. If you attempt to be like another person, you will wander away from your unique voice

Be true to your gifts and talents

God gives us gifts and talents so we can find our place and stay in it and then speak from that perspective. The sooner you begin to admire what gifts and talents you have and use them to be a blessing to others, the earlier you will discover the impact you were made to make in other people’s life.

Understand the worth of your make up

Your unique selling proposition is embedded in your voice — your areas of competence. Understanding its value enhances the attention you give to it and the investments directed towards making your voice clearer. When the value of a voice is unknown, anyone can have a great voice and still remain oblivious to opportunities.

Discern your unique followers

Every voice is unique and so are its followers. People only follow a voice that speaks to the core of their essence. When you start taking action, you will sure notice a trend in the category of people attracted to you. That is an indication to finding your true voice. With consistency in impacting such people positively, you will find your voice.

Live a life of credibility

Credibility is defined as the quality of being believable or worthy of trust. Credibility is your highest exchange for gaining a true and authentic voice. This is so true in a world where trusting people have become wishy-washy. When you attain a life of credibility, people stop listening to your voice and start listening to your life.

These are just the few ideas I want to share with you today while I encourage you to find out other ways to find your voice in this very noisy world.

My challenge for you for today is: What are the things hindering you from finding your voice? Fear that no one will listen to you?
