In the Bible trees mean life, prosperity and choices. They meant progress and innovation and stood in the marketplaces, in simple dwellings and also in the most regal of palaces. Trees stand for strength and shelter in the waves of storms.

Trees also meant that families could dwell Together and could provide generational wealth and lasting legacies of familial generations. Trees provided the means to make everything that brought life to man.

But trees also were part of more spiritual reality. Trees stood for a choice that humans made to obey God. Trees provided a hiding place for man in his shame. Trees provided lessons for life and pictures of success and failure.

But trees also provided a vocation for a father and wood for a manger and a stable to welcome a savior. and also provided a garden for prayer and a boat to teach from and ultimately a cross to crucify him for the sins of the world.

And now a tree stands in our presence to remind us of the hope of the season. So be mindful this Christmas as you look at your tree, That it has a deep and great connection for you and for me.

Merry Christmas

Tim
